Mission and Ministry Programme

Part-time and full-time options! Yes, we offer the Mission and Ministry programme both full- and part-time. You can take your specialist Certificate at your own pace, and change from part- to full-time throughout each level (Certificate, Diploma, BA) of the BA (Hons) programme. A full degree can now take between three or six years, depending on your own circumstance. A really flexible vocational programme to suit your needs, taught via intensive teaching weeks, and on-line study. Contact the college for more details (bamm@cliffcollege.ac.uk).

Cliff College: Specialist courses for those passionate about children, youth or families.

Cliff College is an approved partner of The University of Manchester, and we are delighted that all of our courses in the Mission and Ministry BA (Hons) programme are validated by The University of Manchester.

Cliff College has been delivering innovative and inspiring courses in mission and ministry for 20 years. We specialise in courses focussed on children, youth and family ministry, and offer three HE Certificate courses in these areas which can be studied full-time or part-time, with an opportunity to continue study at Diploma and BA levels.  These courses will equip you to work within both the church and wider community.

What students say: ‘This course is amazing and has really helped me to understand my own ministry practice amongst children and families.’ ‘The opportunity to reflect on my youth ministry – away from day-to-day job – was a gift. I also learnt more about God and myself in the process.’

How do I study?: Our flexible and practice-based mode of study offers you the opportunity to take an HE Certificate part-time over two years or full-time over one year, and then go on to complete a Diploma and BA (Hons) degree. Teaching is delivered online and through intensive teaching weeks. There is nothing more inspiring than learning from expert thinkers and practitioners, and being with other people who share your own mission and ministry passion, and Cliff College offers this in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the UK.

Mission and Ministry?: Students are required to be involved in some kind of regular mission and ministry as reflection on practice is a key element of the course. This practice can be in a voluntary or paid capacity, or a mixture of both, and should comprise a minimum of 60 hours per year.
