The Samuel Chadwick Centre

The Samuel Chadwick Centre: 

Discerning the Spirit in the Mission of the Church.’

What is it?

Physically: A study space with a specialist Holy Spirit-orientated library including archival materials on Chadwick, Wesleyan Holiness and Pentecostalism

Spiritually: A home for all things renewal-related

Academically: A research centre that gathers and disseminates the fruits of research in Pneumatology with particular reference to the Wesleyan, Pentecostal and Charismatic traditions.


The first ever annual Samuel Chadwick Lecture took place on 16 October 2018. A recording of the lecture can now be seen on Youtube here. A fully illustrated written version of it is here.

The next Samuel Chadwick Lecture will take place  on Thursday 17 Oct 2019. This will be a joint event with the annual Fernley Hartley Lecture, and we are very happy to announce that our Fernley Hartley Lecturer will be Revd Dr Jo Cox-Darling and our Samuel Chadwick Lecturer with be founder and leader of the Ground Level network, Stuart Bell.

The theme for the day will be the Holy Spirit and Fresh Expressions. For further details see the link here.
